Mark Harvey is Internews Europe's Director of Development. He has well over a decade experience of covering international environmental issues initially for the Japan Broadcasting Corporation (NHK) - for whom he covered the Rio Earth Summit (UNCED) in 1992 - and then for over five years as senior producer on the Earth Report programme broadcast by BBC World, produced by the Television Trust for the Environment (TVE). He is the co- founder of the Element strand on sustainable development issues that targets the 16-24 demographic, and is co-produced and syndicated by MTV. He is one of the architects of the Climate Change Media Partnership, a inititiative to raise media coverage in the developing world of the international negotiations in the run up to the Copenhagen Climate Summit, December 2009 ( http://www.climatemediapartnership.org/). Mark holds a masters degree in public administration from the Kennedy School of Government, Harvard University.
